well problem solved, after all that i've done, it turns out that the problem was a few loose wires in the engine bay. i've tried switching afm. i guess for those with the problems, try checking all connections first b4 swapping n buying new parts.

how stubborn i was not to do this first

There's way more to an AFM than than what you can see...this is my old R33 one that was showing a Code12 Faulty AFM on the ECU

I know this is a really old post, but did you resolve the issue? I'm having the same issue on my MR2
