Hi everyone.

I'm a new onwer of an R32, the previous owner turned the blowoff valve around because he didn't like the noise, I'd like to turn it back, but don't how :D

Could someone please give me some tips?

Also, my motor is currently standard with a cat back 3" exhaust + pod air filter, I'd like to improve it's performance over time, but don't where to start...Should I start with the computer, dump pipe for the turbo, an after market blowoff valve, what??

Has anyone got any advice for me?

Thanks in advance for your help!

well the first thing you could do to up the performance is get an EBC (electronic boost controller). This will allow you to get some more psi into your engine and therefore more power. But be careful, too much boost and your engine goes POP.

Computer is a good idea for when you start getting serious. Dump pipe is a good mod too. Perhaps new injectors and fuel pump too :)

As for the aftermarket BOV. Technically you don't need them. Plumb-back's work well but if you are after the WHOOSH noise then get aftermarket. But get the one that you find has the highest flow. No point in having something restrictive on there (although that's all a BOV does, as it makes noise, it slows down the air and restricts it to go through the whistle or whatever).

Is your exhaust from the turbo back ?

Nah, my exhaust is from the CAT Converter back.

Any idea how I get access to the standard BOV? I need to turn it around, it looks like the left hand front wheel or front bar needs to come off, is that right?

Cheers.

take a picture of your engine bay.

if you have an RB25, then the bov should be sitting on the pipe that goes "across" your engine.

the RB26 has the sotck bovs (there are 2) on the pipe for the intercooler, and they are behind the front bar.

so you seem to be mixing the 2 up.

as for what mods to do and when...

the following thread is a good read for you..
