Cleaning Fuel Tank

Wanted to know if anyone has ever had to get their fuel tank professionally cleaned to get rid of rust

my tank is stuffed but its going to cost to much to buy a new one

i was thinking it could probably be sand blasted then acid dipped but i only know of large factories like ferro-galv that could do it and i dont think they would really be interested

any ideas?

nahh it would be metal coverd with plastic/rubber and galvanised on the inside i think.

You recon it would be galvanised inside

if it was mine wouldnt have rusted

was thinking of getting this done though so it never happens again, but its kinda going overboard

oh its in a cefiro by the way

and as far as i have been told nothing else can really be made to fit it

i hope this isnt true

Yer that happens some times. Ive noticed that the matching pair of nuts that hold my lic plate on, got em same time, same nuts. One is rusted one is clean. Weird. luck of the draw i guess.
