Hi all,

I have been looking at a few series 2 gtst's and I got a question. I have been to Kamikaze, GTAUTOs and SSV (all vic dealerships), and I have noticed that some skylines have a strut bar in the boot, and others dont. Are all skylines supposed to come with a strut bar in the boot or is it just an option that Nissan in Japan offers?

Bit about me I guess, I was (still am) a Toyota Supra fan, test drove a couple of NA supras, then test drove turbo skylines, and now Im hooked on the turbos! Though, I expect later on I will be looking at twinturbo supras when I get more money.

Anyway - if anyone could answer my question (first paragraph), I would be really grateful!

Thanx guys/gals!

Matt

Not all are meant to have it..I beleive it was a factory option

Hi guys,

Thanks for the quick reply - also is it necessary to have gauges that tell the temperature and boost and so on? Obviously that would help determine if there was anything wrong with the car - but do you all think its a good idea?

Matt

If you're going to be changing the boost at all, I'd highly recommend getting an aftermarket boost gauge. As far as gauges go, that's the only one you really need.

Supra fan gone Skyline ey. Same here. Couldn't afford the TT, didn't want the N/A so I grabbed the next best thing :D

hehe - thats right dee33 - I was looking for a N/A supra for a long long time, couldnt get the new shape (i.e the 96 update), then test drove the skyline r33 s2, and man, i came out of that with a smile, and a few white hairs.....scared the crap out of me due to the power, but drove very smooth. And I saw the car that Wayne from GTAuto drives, looks bloody sick - So Im going for a skyline for now, then later on, when i get money, gonna get a decent supra.

Btw - if anyone is new to the import scene, id suggest talking to Wayne and GTAutos in croydon - he went through pretty much everything with me, spent an hour, showed me a couple of cars - test drove them, then spent an hour again when me and my bro went back - totally awesome - now thats service for ya.
