Straight Exhaust On Rb25?

i took my r33 for a burn around the block when it was running no cat and no muffler a few years back and it was very loud. on idle id would have been around 90db alone. and that was at around 600 rpm. i think at 3500 rpm plus every 10th person would report you.

i have a muffler that makes no diffrence to the sound it's just for asthetics so the cops think it has a muffler he he the rest is streight through from the turbo

I also had some special exhaust system on my car before I sold it which had some special pipe. It was kinda like a muffler the whole way through. along the inside of the exahust. it was very very quiet(83db) and felt better driving compared to the trust system i had on before that. maybe you have one of these..... ?

christ, after reading all these i honestly don't know how i passed the engineers inspection or why it says what it says on the engineers certificate. My gf says she can hear me from litterally 2 blocks away, and then can hear me in her hallway, all doors and windows shut, idling about 25m infront of her place.

Haha.. weigh up your price options.. on the one hand, EPA $$, on the other, new cat, plus remus muffler? Also $$, but you don't have to pay the government, ever. I'd rather my money went to the car than them.. hehe

That's interesting, as the other half did hear me coming to pick her up about 4/6 blocks away, over a big ass hill :-D

But it's bathurst, so I guess it doesn't count too much.

I know a few guys running 3 inch no mufflers on their daily RB20's... So you can get away with it. Just for how long is the question. Would also depend what front?dump and cat ur running.

Just get a good quality cannon and replace it . If ur wanting a new exhaust I reckon Fujitsubo power getter.. The rear mufflers look sic
