Binky1970
Depends on how good a job you want. A good job will cost you around the 10K mark. IOWNU
Depends on how good a job you want. A good job will cost you around the 10K mark. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bit steep I reckon. You can get a "good job" for around 4-5k. If you pay anything more than that, expect a Show Car job. Ofcourse, it helps to know someone in the industry for mates rates. Abo Bob
I have used house paint before. Came up a treat. Wouldn't do it to a car under 25 years old though. Black shows up dirt and imperfections. Whereabouts are you located? koleka
best thing i think to do (as ive done it before) rub it back and sand it yourself, because thats the most labour intensive part that apprentices normaly do anyways. and then get the people to respray it. raz0r$harP.UK
Also depends on whether you want to pull the window/door seals, engine, etc out. koleka
if your doing a colour change then im assuming youll be pulling the engine out too, so that might be a bit of work. It wasnt that hard to do, just alot of work and time consuming. The right tools and thats about it. Just dont get lazy or you will start cutting corners. Im about to respray my current car in the coming months, once ive repaired everything on it. So maybee wait for that and ill tell you how it goes.
