Hey guys, ive tried all day trying to get my front bar off my r33 series 1 skyline gtst!!!, i was going to fit my cooler today, but guess itll have to wait now!

I got all the screws undone bar one plastic square looking clip just below the headlight, i got the clip loose, but its not fully off, so my bumper doesnt let loose!, i just wnt to have the bumper taken off and not the reinforcement

please can some1 help, ive searched through heaps

I beleive there is a bolt in the middle somewhere, possibly more. Definately not just screws holding it on.

I found a thread where someone described how to do it a while ago, but no pics of the locations of the bolts.

Can someone please post up a pic of their front end, and circle where the bolts are hiding?

i took mine off end of last year to fit my intercooler, the plastic clip under the headlight pop into a hole on your frontbar (one each side), you can do two things, remove your headlights or as I did, put a little force on them with a screwdriver between the reinforcement bar and front bar next to the headlight and the bar popped off. there are two screws either side of the guards to the front bar, a little hard to get the front ones and the pop clips across the front and under the front bar, took me about 20 minutes to get it off

hi, i have a gtst r33 , i have pushed the front bar down on the bumper and i have a new bumper coming 400r, can someone give me advice how to take the old bumper off and do you need to take the front lights out to do it, thanks martin uk

hey its easiest if u take it off with the bumper bar support, 4 large bolts. dont forget to unscrew it from the fender and ur away. u probably wont be able to put it back on neway without hacking like crazy

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
    • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
