Go the genuine nissan.

The nissan one brings engine temps up quicker and holds them more stable. The aftermarket items fly open to wide and to quick causing temp fluctuations.

If the car runs under 80degree's (which my experience is the aftermarkets do cause it to do so) then the ecu refers to its cold enrichment table. As a result you use slightly more fuel.

Compare the two side by side and the genuine most definitely looks much more meatier and reliable.

Do a basic test to see if its working. Put it in some boiling water and see if it opens correctly. Or better still put some water in a jug with a thermometer and gradually add hot water to it til it reaches 80 degrees to see if it is opening at the correct temperature.

around $39 last time i got one.

just ask for R31 skyline item. (they are the same at 76.5deg open)

otherwise they will charge more as soon as you mention import.

thats all genuine Nissan im talking, don't waste time with aftermarket jobs, they can be more expensive and perform poorly.
