The first round of the DECA Motokhana events for 2006 is now ready to go. This year we will be holding 4 of these events with a yearly outright championship up for grabs.

Also - due to feedback from the last event we are going to limit entry numbers to just 50 to make sure everyone gets a full compliment of runs given the distance to travel.

So along with a 20% increase in facility hire fee's for 2006 the entry fee's have gone up slightly (we've kept them as low as possible) to $65.

Entry form and sup req's available here:

If you don’t have a license as yet please print and fill this out one of the below forms and bring it with payments to the event to save some time on the day. AASA license is $45 and will cover you for one year of AASA events such as other motorkhana's and track events at Winton and Calder. CAMS L2S licenses are $85 for one year and will cover you for all AASA events and CAMS sprint events.

A copy of the event schedule will be available around a week before the event and I will post it up as soon as it is done.

For those that don't know DECA is on the other side of Shepparton if you are coming from Melbourne. So stay on the main road you come into Shep on and go through the town and on the other side just past the BP is Wanganui Rd.

Once you arrive please make your way to the client lounge (purple spot) to register and get your scrutineering forms. Please be ON TIME (8am) or else we'll start late and we'll miss out on some events.

Spectators are more than welcome.

There is no grand stand as such, but plenty of viewing area for non-competitors

And always some idiots willing to [attempt to] put on a show for the crowd!

Hmm, only count 25 on that list? Is there another list.

Was expecting this to sell out already.

Might have to reconsider entering. See if i can pull the cash together.

The WRX club have one of their members wedding to attend, and something else i think from memory. So most are booked.

So thats why there are the 20-25 less people than normal.

Its a unfortunate in terms of cars to gawk at...

BUT - it gives everyone more time out there, which... is a winner from a driver perspective.

Hey guys,

Quick question... I've got my car booked into Doncaster BMW to get the clutch replaced on the Wednesday -> Thursday the 23rd / 24th.

When I had the clutch replaced on my old car I was told to go easy on it for the first 1500 or so kms.

From those that have been to DECA before... am I playing with fire taking my car with such a new clutch? The clutch was $1k and $500 to install it, so its not something that I want to mess with, but on the other hand, I have heard its an absolute hoot.

Cheers,

Aaron

Speaking of the test day - I can tell you all that the events we have planned for the year are fantastic. Everyone of the events through-out the year will throw up some different challenges to face.

We tested over 30 designs to come up with the most enjoyable combinations and I can also tell you that this up-coming event in Feb has 2 motokhana's that were given a "fun factor" of 10/10 by the judging panel.

All the motokhana's for the year I can tell you are by far more fun than any of the events we have previously done.

:P

:(

And I bet you pricks had plenty of practice. :P

Looking forward to it though.
