try this mob... www.speedhut.com they're willing to make em if you send em a gauge to base one on, and you can get 20 people to buy em. I asked em, and they agreed to use cyberstork templates instead of gauges. however they count the GTSt's n GTR's as seperate designs.

yeah the holes where the gauges sit on the cluster are different. So you can't place a GTR EL cluster onto a GTSt cluster.

Also if you make holes for both the EL will look bad because of random holes in the center of the RPM gauge.

Has anyone got a spare set of dial faces from a R32 GTS-t and an R32 GT-R?

LW.

BUMP.

I have posted a request in the WTB section. If I can get the dial faces organised I will contact SpeedHut and arrange for them to be shipped so we can get a group buy going.

Are any R33 guys interested?

Thread is here (or see sig): http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=40141

Cheers,

Lucien.

Just to add to my previous post, my thinking is this: we get all the relevent dials to them, then get them to setup relevant pages on their model development section (http://www.speedhut.com/15orders.asp). That way we don't have to worry about collecting money and converting it, etc, etc.

Once the pages are up we can setup (ie. advertise) the group buy through SAU and SDU. Only problem I see is shipping -- it might be easier (read: cheaper) to get them all shipped in one batch to Australia and then redistribute rather than having SpeedHut send invidual packages.

Thoughts/comments/suggestions?

LW.

sorry if this has been asked before...

but can you get the EL gauges for a R34 GTT?

Well we could always send some R34 gauge faces to SpeedHut with the R32 GT-R ones, but I am not sure there would be enough interested. Having said that, there are a lot more R34 GT-Ts in New Zealand, so the SDU guys might be able to make up the numbers.

The only problem would be getting a set of the dial faces.... Any suggestions? :)

LW.

hmm maybe I could send the busted ones that one of my mates has at his spare parts shop lol.

/me looks at the R34 GTt gauge he was tryin to fit on his R32... hmmm

    • Welcome Alice......hope you have a bit more luck from here on! What was done in the build?
    • Hello! I'm new here, I have an R33 GTST that is currently being finished up! Last year was pretty rough, blew two stock turbos so I decided to build the car. Has been down since November, but I get it back next weekend!
    • Hello, I believe my car was imported to America in the 2000s by Kaizo Industries. Would anyone be able to help me find more info on them? I've only found all the basic stuff like that paul walker bnr34, them being shutdown by feds, just stuff like that. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
    • I am using Motec M150.  I am not working on the car myself actually.  My workshop is giving all these info, they are quite reputable in the industry and are very familiar with Motec and RBs and have done a few big setups with VCam and single turbo on RBs.  In fact, they built and tuned my engine from day one.  But they are stumped with my engine at the moment and cannot work out how come the compression is so low with the VCam. They told me that they have now swapped in some Kelford cams (without the VCam) and can achieve around 130psi compression and the low end torque is better, but now the engine is doughy as.  It boosts and peaks at more than 1000rpm slower, with twin HKS GTIII RS, it doesn't get full boost until over 5000rpm. I have always thought the VCam was a bit disappointing at the low rpm. To a point I had to ride the clutch a fair bit to get up a small hill from stand still.  That was when I had a clutch.  Now changing to a 8HP, I don't have that luxury and this problem has become a major issue. I am beginning to think the VCam never work since the day it was installed.  Maybe it was just sitting at the most advanced point, that is why it went good at top end but very ordinary at the bottom.  Therefore, with the help of the Holinger 6 speed and paddle shift, as long as it was moving, it drove pretty good.
    • yeah, there's a country that recently started importing Skylines, I blame them.
