R34 Key Transponder

Hi,

just wondering if u guys can tell me if a R34 Series 2(late 2000 model) has got a transponder in its master key? I only got the one key with central remote on it with my R34 and i wanna get a 2nd key cut just in case i lose one.

no it doesnt. (from all of the ones I have pulled apart anyway.)

best way to prove it though is to copy the key and then start the vehicle. it should start. have the original key WELL away from the car.
