i need, some help with my 33 gtst, i recently cooked my cat converter and rather than get a new one i want to knock all the insides out, the problem is, that i cant unscrew the sensor, i was wondering what it senses and how important it is, im getting a microtech soon so if it isnt important i will just chop it off, any help will be much appreciated,

thanks,

its like 10 grand worth of fines, its a big no no and its like the difference between 1kw and a good high flow car anyways. but id say spray some wd40 or something on there and let it sit for a little while..

Dont ground it. The sensor has an expansion element that, when enough heat soaks into it, creates a ground and closes the circuit. Just cut it and forget it. On the other hand, if your overheating your cat, you either have a clogged cat or a very lean engine. Replace your cat, then get some fuel tuning done. Ignoring a light is hardly ever a resolution. Just my two cents.
