Sweet FREE dyno!!! Coolo, what are your trading hours steve? I went with the Trust unit as I feel if you are planning on making some serious HP you need to use the best parts. I still havent decided on how high I want to go and there is no point wacking on a cheap australian made fmic and saving a grand or so and then deciding I want more power. Also japanese know their shit, they've been modifying cars far longer than us and it bolts straight into the car easily and matches up to the existing pipes in the engine bay so for ease of fitting its great. I'm not bagging australian products, we make some of the best ECU's (motec is used by some serious 9 second GTR's etc), but I just think the japanese bolt on stuff is top shelf.

Ok, find out how much the exhaust places charge for a custom made unit and then compare it to the unit Jash @ c-red sells. $1k, stainless steel quality, 3.25" cat back (no resonator so maximum flow, tad loud but not the loudest I've heard) and it can be fitted in 10 minutes as it bolts straight on and into the existing mounts (just make sure the old exhaust is cold before you touch it :)) Its been proven on the dyno to give a good increase in HP, looks good with large barrel and angle at back (I'll attach some photo's if interested when I get home). So up to you, most places with custom exhausts will require the car for a day to make the exhaust up for you.

I use Quickfit in Morley, went there yesterday for a mod on my Volvo exhaust. Cost me $40 for an hours worth of his time and some pipe and heatshielding material.

He's done all the work on my R33.

Quality job, good price. Give Pat a call.

Was looking at one of those C Red N1 style systems, but worried about "the drone"... i love the sweet burble a line gets with a decent zorst, but that annoying freeway raquet can be a killer on long trips. looking at getting dump done as well, are these systems loud?

Beeble,

I'm sure that someone with one of these systems on would be more than happy to take you for a drive and you can experiance the noise for yourself. I'm sure C-red could organise for you to listen to a car with this system on it.

Rob - yeah thanks i'd appreciate that. will PM you.

(vaguely) on topic - getting dump done at same time. have discussed this with quite a few of the shops mentioned in this thread, as yet can't make up my mind on separate wastegate pipe or all-in-one. stock turbo/coola/safc/10-12psi(soon!)

i hate decisions...

thoughts??

I have the speparate wastegate pipe, and it's great, but you want to make sure they know what there doing when making it. It won't make a huge difference either way, eventually the external wastegate is the only option.
