Hi all, hoping some of you guys can answer a few questions for me.

Firstly, has anyone found a reputable source for bodykits for 4 door R32 GTS-T's? Specifically Vertex style kits?

Secondly, has anyone tryed to fit R33 GTR factory wheels to their 4 door? I know the wheels physically fit, but I would like to confirm how much work in terms of guard flaring/rolling would be realistically required to accomodate these wheels on the 4 door - assuming the car is lowered 1.5-2 inches all around.

Thirdly, R32 GTR rear seats in a 4 door - possible or impossible?

Cheers,

Nick

No worries Blitzeh :P

Try G-Force in syd, Avi Prasad is the bloke's name who runs it I think. He's on this forum, and I think he was looking at becoming a sponsor, dunno how he went with it. His website is http://www.jap.com.au in any case. The kits fit pretty well from the ones I've seen, and his prices are pretty damn good. The website has the coupe kit listed only, but I remember him mentioning the 4 door kit was in development last year, so it might be ready now.

Roll and flare of guards required in the front, might be able to get away with a roll only in the back. 4 Doors look tougher with flares all around anyways.

Possible, I've seen a few cars with em done... however the mounting positions don't line up exactly the same, some customising is required, and shutting the door is a little harder.

All possible... A group called Panteraftermarket (www.pantheraftermarket.com) do Vertex bodykits for 4 doors. Or Adrenalin Autosports as well, located in Sydney and Queensland respectively.

R33 GTR wheels will fit. Depending on your ride height, you might have to roll the guards, namely the rears. I had too.

And I also have an R32 GTR seat in my car... fit like a glove.

p.s Are you stalking me?? haha

what are the offsets of R33 gtr rims?

ive got 18x9 +30 on the back of mine and they fit without any modifications. and my car is quite low... can just see the top of the tyre under the guard.

are the leather gts-t seats different to other gts-t and gtr seats? cos i tried puttin my mates leather seats in my car (cos mine where out and people needed to be driven places) and the backrest was too short

how do u roll the rears when theres no real guard to roll? theres like 2cm of panel that goers around the wheel

I had it done from group in richmond, just normal guard rolling machine. $50 a corner. It's not all the way round, they just rolled where the tyre would sit and a small surrounding area.

  • 2 weeks later...

Heres an update for you all.

I have fitted R33 GTR wheels without a problem, mind you the car isnt lowered as yet, however the wheels have advan 225's which are undersized for these rims on a GTR, but work well for this application.

GTST: I had R32 GTR wheels on the car previously and noticed a bit of rub on turn, but havent as yet with the 33 GTR wheels - odd.

For some reason im really keen on the 4 door now and its my new project - so the hunt for parts continues!

    • The hot exhaust light will come on not from just the cat being blocked, but it's just a temp sensor, and it's designed to warn you to not do things like park in long grass.   If you've been pushing the motor a bit, it can cause the light to come on.   Second if the cat is rattling, I'd suspect it's not blocked, but instead falling apart inside.   The easiest "fix" until you can get a cat put back in, is to unbolt your one, bash the rest of the insides out, and then bolt it back in.   For a daily driver/street car, I am in agreeance of put a cat in the car. If it were race car I wouldn't care if it were removed.
    • No worries at all 🫡 I think the most satisfying things to make are the little bits that are just impossible to find or they're no longer manufactured. Generally I always try to replace parts with OEM wherever possible. This little project is also great because it'll never see the light of day, but strengthen these brackets so it's not just relying on the little standard screws in the headlight plastic. As soon as I saw the standard brackets and screws I thought, "well I'm not going to install with just the screws, the plastic tabs will just snap off". It's crazy how expensive everything has become yeah. But I suppose that's supply and demand; granted it's a lot easier to get brand new genuine parts these days which is fantastic 😊, I don't have to get totally reamed at the local Nissan dealer ha ha We sure are lucky we have all these manufacturers making parts these days, a few really great Australian companies too like Platinum Racing Products and Fit Mint Automotive, what a time to be alive ❤️ . I've got my eye on the RB26 head by PRP as mine has a very fine hairline crack, so that'll need to be addressed some time in the future. If you have any requests or odd things to make feel free to let me know and I can have a crack at making replacement parts ✌️
    • Thanks for sharing this, and BTW if your headlights are in good condition they are worth thousands....you might want to consider replacing them with brand new LED ones like this (https://www.nengun.com/78works/full-led-headlights-r32-skyline) and making enough profit to buy a house in Sydney
