Gearbox In R33 S2

Hey guys, can someone help me out, had a few people tell me that the late model 33s got the GTR gearbox and diff, does anyone know if this is true?? Not sure myself but seems unlikely unless Nissan had a shep full of em to get rid of

Gearbox in RB25 are the same strength as the RB26 gearboxes.

Well a GTR box is 4wd, and a GTS-t box is RWD

So they are two totally different boxes by construction in terms of one having a transfer case, and one doest.

Boxes are both the same strength though.

As for the second thing, re: diff, thats also incorrect.

afew R33s have the same active lsd as the GTR

Yeah, mine is one of the active ones, at least that is what i am told, any easy way to tell??

You'll have A-LSD on the dash

diff cover will have vertical fins on it

There is "SLIP" and "A-LSD" lights in the middle of the tacho/rev counter
