so i can change the gears manually.

alot of commodores do it,i was wondering if it would work on a skyline

You should be able to do that now. Any automatic can be driven like a manual. Simply shift the selector to the gear you want, the transmission will stay there until you select another gear - that's the way I always drive autos.

It's not rocket science.

I think there is something you can do.  Ring Mike at MV Automatics in Adelaide and he will give you the low down...

Good advice ;).

The way I see it you have two options:

1. Manual valve body - I believe Keas have made one for the JATCO RE4R01A; or

2. Upgrade the current valve body & pick up one of MV Automatics' little black unit thingy ($200). The unit disables the ecu from controlling the trans & requires you to manually shift.

With both options you should be able to use an aftermarket computer. Not sure how much power the manual valve body would be able to handle but, MV's (stage II) shift kits is capable of high 200rwkw.
