Hi,

I just Recently bought an 1996 R33 GTS25T which i am the first owner of it in Australia and the Radio in it will only get FM range of 70 to 90, does anyone know how to reset the this so i can get the full range? I was told you can somehow by like holding certain buttons while powering on the unit but unfortunatly was unable to find the instrucitons to do this if it was true.

Thanks in advanced

Jamie

That's not correct. You need a 'band/frequency expander' to be able to pick up Australian frequencies, which will plug in between your headunit and antenna. All it basically does is shift the frequency so you will be able to pick up most of the stations.

They're not much more than $30 - available from any car shop (Repco, Autobarn, etc), or PM Chris Rogers on the forums, he sells them too.

$30. they are $15 posted from me...

other than that the info you were were given applies toe the aftermarket radio and even then its incorrect. the button sequence will fix the AM band difference only and not the 76-90mhz jap freq problem. to fix it you need a band expander ( $19) or a new radio.

your call on which way you go.
