Well there are alot of second generation drivers around at the moment.

Rosberg.

Senna.

Piquet.

Scheckter.

Locally:

Jones.

Johnson.

Moffat.

Plus alot more. Guess some of them must have some talent. I mean, the statistical probability means that atleast one of 'em could drive out of sight on a dark night. Surely. Ok, maybe not.

what a knuckle head. how could he say that? It's like saying if schumacher had one less leg he may not have won any titles. fact is mate, your uncle did die, and MS did win 7 world titles. get over it!

baron for president.

What an absoulte tosser...so he's basically saying that his uncle would have won the exact amount of championships that would see he and MS level on 5 each?

I think what he was saying was that Senna in a Williams in 94 & 95 would have been a much better proposition than Hill & others in the same car. To which you would have to concede he has a point.

Also, Senna would have retired after equalling some bloke called Fangio in the number of championships. Atleast according to Nigel Roebuck he would have.

Whether or not Senna would have beaten Schumacher is another issue & one not worth the argument. So nobody start anything & we will all get along fine.

add brabham and brock to the above list.

you know who I like? Kubica. next Michael Schumacher I reckon.

Which Brabham - there are three of them, Geoff, Gary & David.

Also Brock (& for that matter Jones) are resapectively a step child & adopted.

I forgot to add the Davison family, although the latest generation seems to be doing quite well.

Steven Richards disproves the rule, also.

For next year I would put my house on the Finnish bloke. Don't mean Rosberg, either.

nah, Kubica all the way boys. mark my word. Pole will be on Pole soon enough.

I was thinking David Brabham I have NFI who the others are!

and yes Richo JR is good, but damn he has a head like a half sucked mango.

I forgot to list some bloke called Glenn Seton.

Geoff Brabham won Le Mans with Peugoet in 91 & did alot of racing in the US.

Gary Brabham won the F3000 championship in 1989.

Don't go the blood nuts, Baron. They can really angry really quickly....

They used to have an award in the Can Am series. It was for Polish drivers. It was the Polish Pole Position Pole. Unsuprisingly the trophy was a, um, pole.

By the way did anyone wathc the reply of the '78 Australian Grand Prix on ABC 2 on Sunday? The laps by Fangio in the old Merc & Brabham in the BT were just gold.

That's it. Great stuff. Later on in the fottage you can see the touring car mechanics lining the pit wall to watch. They followed it with edited highlights of the Hang Ten 400 - Moffat, Bond, Johnson in XC Falcons & Brock, Harvey, Grice, Rogers et al in A9X Toranas.

Gotta be some of the best TV going around at the moment.

just came across this little piece of trivia

Alonso completed his entire championship-winning campaign... in one car. Chassis R26-03 took to the grid in Bahrain some seven months ago and the same car crossed the finishing line in Brazil. It did not miss a single race.

... thats pretty impressive

    • Update:   smoke test all pipes no issues cleaned reservoir   fluid put in ( dexron 3 atf)   steering turn side to side and could hearing  gurgling from steering rack which I assumed was air lock, opened one of the steering rack connections and could see loads of air getting pushed out( not sure if you meant to do that / whether it will re introduce air into system)   anyways, loads of side to side sound was gone. Turned car on, pump was slightly ( barely) wining so turned side to side few more turns and fluid level when car on was almost none in resorvoir which I guess is normal if car is one. Turned car of and fluid was gushing out. Almost 200-300cc was pushed out. Repeated engine off side to side followed  by engine on and same result       going mad now. It seems system is either sucking air in whilst on or there is tons of air which I am not giving it enough time to bleed. Thoughts?   would it work like brake caliper if I open steering rack copper pipes and let gravity pull all air out?   or maybe have a restriction somewhere? What is the red circled item, could that be blocked? It i
