Defi Gauges – How Readable In Daylight?

Hi all, I was looking at some of the Defi-Link Meter BFs (electronic blacked out gauges) and was wondering what people have thought of them, especially regarding readability in daylight or direct sunlight. Any info on this would be much appreciated.

seen them in night, and they look wicked... however i would spend the $$$ on the engine.....

same...i've got white bfs and don't have a problem seeing them in the daytime

if you're really having trouble seeing them you can turn the brightness up - somewhat blinding in the night time then hehe

i leave mine on the lowest brightness in both day and night mode

Apart from the $110 controller, the gauges themselves arent all that expensive compared to HKS, Apexi, Greddy etc.

I have the black faced/white digit BF boost on the pillar and is fine to see!

Hey, I'm looking to purchase some nice gauges. I would prefer if they were all matching. I need the whole gammet!!

-fuel pressure

-oil pressure, maybe temp too

-water temp

-exhaust temp

-maybe a knock indicator

-a/f mixture (is that the same as exhaust temp?)

-boost gauge

Please any suggestions would be great, what to get, what not to worry about. I plan on running the Power FC if that matters.

I have an R32 RB26DETT in my s13, up and running. Need gauges so I can beat the piss out of it with some peace of mind.

I've mounted the radio/cd in the back so I have TONS of space for gauges.

I'll spend what I need to, but I'd like to keep it on the low side. I'll give up looks for reliability if it saves on cost.
