I have just finished a spending spree on my car today, ending with some discounted products from Supercheap (10-20% off stuff :) ). Heres my list for the month of Jan 15th-Feb15th (I get paid monthly on the 15th).

I am still waiting on the top 4 things from Nengun, ordered 3 weeks ago today :D

-Remote Oil Filter Kit

-Apexi TT + Harness

-Wheel Spacers

-HICAS Lock Bar

-DBA 4000 Rotors

-Ferodo Front Pads, Lucas Rear Pads

-Mobil 1 Engine Oil

-Oil Filter (from Nissan)

-Oil Flush, Radiator Flush, Brake Cleaner, Ultra Cool Radiator Coolant

-Demineralised Water (5L, is that enough for the GTR cooling system?)

TOTAL=$1,344

This month I hope to buy a PFC D-Jetro (+ Harness, Nipples & Sensors) and get the HICAS and TT fitted and the computer tuned.

Good Fry B)

,4 Feb 2006, 04:17 PM]1.3k thats nothing :P i'm not going to dare add up what i spent this month on my car, it will make me cry :D

hahah, dooo iiiitt! B) **shakes fist

Well, The PFC and tune is gunna cost me about $1600 anyway, so that beats my 1.3k this time around, I might even have to get a PRofec B-Specc II as well coz I have no boost controller at the mo ;) . This is the most I have ever spent on my car in a short period of time though.

ive spent minus amounts on my car this month :P

ive got alot of parts sitting in the shed, new and used, so im trying to sell stuff now that i want to sell the car :D

hell, ive even got brand new custom number plates that i havent even put on the car yet, still sitting at the DPI... should sell those.

    • but any other area than the bulge you are talking about will just cave in then? The front driver side is pretty bent so I don't know if that will work the way it is now. I can still kinda make out where that bulge is/was but it looks like the position of it also changed due to all the mistreatment? Hard to tell
    • Absolutely. Look very closely at the photo (of yours) that I took my second snip of. See how the sill is thicker material right behind the pinchweld, where the two notches are? That is the factory reinforced area for lifting. That pad is supposed to carry the weight. The factory jack (go look at it, and how it interfaces with the car at the pinchweld) shows you exactly how the load is carried from the car to the jack to the ground.
    • if need be I guess I will, yeah. Just to be clear, it's okay to use the sill area around the jacking points for loading, meaning the actual pinch weld or jacking point just sits in the slot without taking on any weight?
    • No. No it can't. It will absolutely end badly. There's no need for it, so there's no need to create the risk. Mitigating a risk that didn't need to be there in the first place is even dumber than mitigating a risk that could be engineered out in the first place. And the risk has already been engineered out.
    • You can also make your own. It doesn't need to be rubber. It just needs to mate securely enough to whatever the jack/arm point is, and have a slot in the top. If that means welding a few chunks of steel together, or slotting something in a mill, then, that's what it means.
