I can have a go, sure. I'm not as expert as my nitro-racing friends, but it shouldn't be too hard to tune it up. An infra-red temperature gun comes in handy though!

I'm guessing that you're running pretty smokey even on WOT?

I have been racing on road R/c cars for about 5 years and am a member of a world class track located in Moorebank just off the M5. Membership costs $80 a year and with that you can get to attend race meets alot cheaper and you get a set of keys to the track! So when there is no club racing on you can go and practice or have a drift meet with friends etc whenever you want. So if you want to have a rc get together at a proper track this is the place to do it.

I have some pics of the track and my rc car at a race i attended last year.

Come out to a race and get a membership form and pay. Races are the 1st and 3rd sundays of each month. The next race meet will be pretty quiet because there is a big race in brisbane next week so next week would probably be good to come join up and maybe get your car on the track. There is ussually a website with all the info but for some reason its down at the moment. Its in Helles reserve at Moorebank, On the intersection of the M5 and Moorebank ave.

It's a solid hour drive for me, but if eveyone is serious about proper drifting on a track, i'll happily pay the money.

Members have keys, but are they allowed to invite their friends in?

Thanks for the info, Chris!

wow.. just looked at the pics... it's not a particularly tight track, is it? I'm not sure how it'd go for drifting, but i'd definately give it a try!

Last time I got a drift session on a track was during a "dinner break" of a club meet when they weren't using the track.

I don't think anyone has planned to go to the track, but i'm going to suggest: Sunday the 19th at Curl Curl netball courts. (Northern Beaches)

I will go down and check it out to make sure there isn't a ton of netball games on, but when there is, there is usually a court free. It's easy to access and quite smooth for asphalt.

We'll just meet up and muck around without any track (unless someone brings some), and if it is successful, i'll look to organise something more proper for the next meet! (which could be somewhere else too!)

Please post IN or OUT for midday Sunday 19th meet at the above location!

sorry RANDY, ive got parts arriving for my car this week so i'll probably be putting it all back together on the weekend.

sorry mate, i might go check that moorbank place out though.. im from bankstown so its not far for me.

Security: the controller and receiver use a frequency-modulated cystal to communicate. If two people have the same, or very similar frequency, you'll both be controlling two cars each. Interesting, good for a laugh, but then you just get the shyts.
