Hey guys..

Im looking at buying a R32 gtst 92' on my [P]s which is just under the Kw/tonne ratio thingy by 3 kw.

Just Cars insurance quoted me about 1800 - 1900 which isnt too bad i didnt think considering its turbo'd etc..

Though if i put an exhaust system on it what would the kw go up to roughly.. if its 158kw stock? and if i go slightly over the 125kw per tonne limit.. will i be covered if i get into a crash, even if its not my fault??

Im really confused and dont want to get Fu*ked over by the insurance company, can someone please help me out!!!

Thanks in advance

If you are in Victoria, which I will assume you are since you are talking about the power-to-weight ratios, then you will be safe.

The power-to-weight ratios go by stock power and stock weight, so any power increase from modifications or extra weight (ie. passengers) will not effect the ratio. So it's safe to say that your insurance is safe as they will not be able to use the power-to-weight ratio to f**k you over.

They may find something else to f**k you over on though.
