Miss Fire Surge 5k

Ok guys i have had this problem for a while now and getting sick of it, at 5k rpm light throtle the car will missfire, surge. I bought splitfires to fix this but with no luck, plugs are good, will be changing them agian soon. Gap is fine as well.

nothing has been changed or upgraded, the problem has pretty much always been there. Fuel filter / air / plugs / coils / afm all have been checked and cleaned

Anyone else had this before??

I have also had the car quickly checked by an Auto eleccie he seems to think its the tune or the ECU

Hang on. 5000 rpm, LIGHT throttle. That's "cruising", so you're in 4th or 5th gear; that's got to be approaching 150 kph. In a lower gear, why on earth are you cruising in less than 4th gear?

any gear will do it, and its manly a concern when cornering trying to hold one speed, and it shouldnt do it!!

Most common r33 problem ever.

The stock ECU has an "over airflow protection" feature that kicks in when you try to run more than ~10psi. A quick solution (which worked for me) is to re-gap spark plugs to 0.8mm.

search is no good, and its not R and R rich and retard its been full remapped. and it would do it when i plant if flat, which it does not, gap is .8

if it's only happening at light throttle, but clears up when you plant it then i would say it's a problem with your 02 sensor. it goes away when you plant it because at WOT the ecu is not using the 02 feedback to meter fuel. either that or it is the tune in that part of your map. check both.
