I would like to say I purchased an engine dampner for an R33 GTR on Tues, it arrived first thing this morning (Thurs).

It looks great, extremely solid and appealing to the eye. I have been looking for one of these for ages, and cannot recommend it enough.

Thanks to "Just Jap" for such a quick transaction and postage, its much appreciated!!

If anyone is after a great dampner, give these blokes a call!! :P

Thanks,

Shane.

I had looked for such a product for so long before i got off my arse and finally made one myself!

Slightly off topic but i was wondering why no one has made a product that includes the strut brace, engine dampner and master cylinder brace all in one clean package at a reasonable price? I ask as i had to fabricate one myself due to the lack of thread avalible above the strut tower. No where near enough room to fit three individual products!

I've got a nizmo strut brace - it has an incorporated master cylinder support, no damper though.

Sorry - off topic.

Thanks guys, we have plenty of stock remaining for R32 and R33.

Satanic, we have yet to try one of our kits on an R34 GTT but you are welcome to drop by and one of our staff can look into this for you and see if there is a way to adapt the R33 GTS-T kit to an ER34.

Regards,

Steve

Ive heard of these things being used on S13's before. Does anyone know if they actually make a beneficial difference to the handling of the car or not? Or is it because it looks cool :)

Hi Baz, these are not a handling product. They are designed to reduce wear on your engine mounts caused by engine flex/movement so they are very functional, not a looks thing.

Cheers,

Steve

can you please post up pics of them fitted on the 33's.

would like to see first before i buy

cheers.

Would installation be an issue for cars with Nismo strut brace which includes the brake master cylinder stopper?

Hi mate, I wouldnt imagine so, however we have not fitted one to a car with that specific strut brace setup as yet.

Steve

thanks for the pics. looks good. im still gonna hold off till theres some 33 pics up so if you could get some up that would be great. mounting geometry seems different from the pics of the product between the 32's and 33's.

cheers.

Same here, will wait till there's a pic of R33 installation. The mounting plate that goes to the strut tower seems a lot different between R32 and R33.

Hi mate, you are entirely correct, the R33 kits differ significantly from the R32 kits.

We are still working on a photo of the R33 kit fitted, we have sold a large number of these already to customers and we are waiting on some fitted photos which we hope to have shortly.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,

Steve

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
