Anything over 40 and your screwed. You will loose you license. I have had it done. You will recieve a summons in the mail most likely for something depending on the dude who is processing it.

Why were you doing speeds like that in a 60 zone Freeway yeah thats cool but damn man thats just stupid.

well thats the thing, this area is almost remote, and its a newly built dual lane road. Id be real worried if there was kids running around there.

Also as mensioned above i only stepped on it for a few seconds to pass a couple of cars taking up the right lane, which is exactly where is got me!

anyways, shit happens so i guess ill have to pay for it......

if they class it under the hoon law which i thought you had to be caught in the act youll get a hefty fine and poss 24hr conf.

if not and it could be classed as wreckless driving which is more than just speeding...

it really depends...

good luck with it though

Do you guys talk in points to lose or points to attain? ie. 12 points is a perfect full licence or zero points is a perfect full licence?

Because when I got my licence back everyone was saying you get 9 points to start with which I though you had 9 to lose, but its the other way around and you only get 3 to lose....

Stupid misunderstandings :P.

no you dont, you start with no points and you gain them!

which is why they are called DEMERIT points

i currently have 5 demerit points against my driving record. which mean if i get 7 more i lose my lic. etc

people always get it wrong, but it easier to say it the other way.

    • Yep, the plan is to do some work in Japan, as I mentioned above possibly keeping it there longer than November 2025. Frankly, I'm not dealing with TopRank ever again and, because my car is no longer with them, I could work with BBL/GY directly👍 But alas, I'm not looking at major bodywork just yet.
    • Yeah I had the probes on the battery terminals.  Sounds good. What reading should I expect to see in a car that runs well?
    • I went for the scissor lift option, gives a 3ft lift at full lift. I wanted a 2 post but my concrete wasn't deep enough to secure it properly
    • Depending on exactly where that voltage is being measured, that is most likely the battery is f**ked. If the multimeter probes are on the battery's own terminals, then it is f**ked. If they are on the car's terminals, then there is a bad connection. Either are fatal to the attempt to start it. Literally just put it on the 20VDC range, put one probe on the battery's -ve terminal (ideally not the car's terminal) and the other on the block somewhere exposed/metal, like an engine mount bolt head. You can also test the earth lead is steps, so from battery to body earth, body earth to engine connection point, engine connection point to some other spot on the engine, to see if you can isolate where a shit connection actually is.
