R33 Series Ii Headlights

hi,

does anyone know how to remove the lens cover off the headlight assembly on an r33 series II. there are three clips on top, not sure about the bottom but it is very tight to try and pry appart. must be more to it

c'mon guys, someone must know how to get these lens covers off. i really need to fix this condensation problem by tuesday so i can get it registered.

Oven or a heat gun, then pry apart the sealant.

I've read the same thing. I also have discovered condensation prob in left headlight. Apparently you put it in the oven for 10-15 min to soften glue. You've got 10 mins or so working time before glue sets again, which should be enough time. From what I've found, all headlights are sealed the same way. I've been doing some reasearch for the same reason.... Good luck with it.

well i fixed mine, took the headlight out. put the lens side in boiling water to le the condensation evaporate and come out the light holes. then used a hair dryer to get the rest, and finally sealed up the headlight and put it back in

huh? so what did you do to remove the cover???? im also in the same situation can please shed some light on this

Sounds like he didn't remove the cover. He used boiling water and condensation to do the internal work for him. =) I might try this tirick on my rear driver side indicator that has a very small crack =(

Unscrew the back (where you change the bulb) and sit it in the sun/drive it around on a hot day. Don't need to remove the light.
