Hey ppl, ive got a lot planned in the coming year for my car, but would like to know how well the car will cope with the power id like to dish out to it.

Its a series 1 coupe gts25t, '93 model and has 165,000kms on the clock....would it be best to get a leakdown compression test like ive been advised by many others?how much are these tests and what exactly will it show?

Cars been very well looked after in the 3 years ive had it, and hasn't caused me any grief in that time, but then again, it was not far off stock!

At 165,000 the engines probably starting to get a little tired.... depending on how its been cared for over the years.

If your looking at doing more than the usual intake, FMIC, Exhaust and keeping the stock turbo (i.e., under 200KW@wheels) then you should be looking into a freshen up.

I'd do a compression test anyways.

Fixxxer
