I also like the 100series V8 Landcruisers, if any one has driven an auto 5speed they are very nice and rather quick.  :D

The 100 Series are pieces of crap! The front diffs blow up in them all the time as soon as you ask it to do any serious 4wd work. The guys from Toyoto also recognise this fault. I was one that liked the cruisers but I not so sure now. Just my 2c's worth.

I'm aware of the front diff issue in the 100series landcruisers.. As you said.. Serious 4wd... and generally only when snapping second.

For a general street driven 4wd with a bit of sand work towing a boat its perfect.

Tonnes of torque, smooth, refined, lots of seats, NO BARN DOORS, huge towing capacity.

Sure the Nissan's do have the drivetrain BUT they don't have the refined feel.

I place a bet that it will eventually come out with a BOSS V8. :)

Also I agree, even the engine bay of a VL looks more interesting then that.

Props to the RB30. :P

This is why they are going turbo; the boss won't fit, without extensive mods, so turbo is here to stay
