Hey guys and gals, I'd appreciate your thoughts and oppinions on the colour of this 33.

While your at it, if you have any pics of colours you really like then post it up.

Really need some input.

I'd also really appreciate your thoughts on the colour of this Zed, although i think you will already say its to bling.....

the R33 looks like some form of kandy apple red which is similar to my car.

IMO kandy red is one of the all time hottest colours and it has stood the test of time.

not like all these other shitty colours that come in and out within a year

the zed i think looks f*ked tooo much flake.

prime example of a colour that will come in and then be out before u know it.

Indeed, Candy Red really does seem to look amazing.

Are you able to post any pics of yours? I can't remember if you had your engine bay done alswell though? What did yours end up setting you back?

I do like the red on the 33, though the look of car itself seems a little... (how to say it).... out of proportion?

i love the kandy red colour, but i guess the problem with it being a popular colour is that so many cars have it these days....that gold flake though is just gross

my favortie ever poaintjob ive seen was a falcon t the nats 2 years ago, silver with rainbow pearl/subtle flake through it, was over at the house of colour stand remember that one jayce?

the only problem with them is if you get a stone chip or a scrach its VERY hard to fix.

everything was stripped out of the car and it was all painted except inside the boot and cabin

i got it done at mates rates cause im good mates with Brian (MR WRX)

so he looked after me

The Zed looks like a christmas decoration imo

Yeah the cost is a concern for me, I think I'd be lucky to get away with a full respray inc eng/door trims for $5,000 in Candy.

dude if u can get it done to the same standard as my car for 5K youve done very very very well

usually a job like my car is work 10-15K

yeap even getting my mate to spray that after I have done prep work would be 5 to 8k, and thats me stripping the car, but you would end up with award winner job

the red on the car in the first post looks almost like cherry black. Black basecoat with fine red metallic, with candy red clear.

Indeed i think you're right about the cherry black, oh well i've been a big enough help to the ACT car community and particularly SAU i'm sure when the time comes someone will be able to find someone to help me out with a mates rates job.

In the mean time i have the luxury of choosing my paint, i might give J-Racing a call and see if they have a house of kolour catalogue.
