Can someone confirn that the dash in this picture is an R33 Series 1? I'm sure it's not a Series 2, but don't really know what a Series 1 looks like.

Also, does anyone know if there is a difference in the general dash layouts between R33 two and four door models?

All will be explained later in a thread about dash trim kits on Ebay.....

Thanks!

Looks like a S1 non turbo as there is no boost gauge. The only difference between the surrounds on S1 and S2 is the coating. S1 have a rubber film over the top where as S2 are a hard rough plastic finish. 2 door and 4 door dash's are the same!

the steering wheel in that pic is covering the area where the boost gauge would be, so you can't really say if its a GTS or GTS-T.

definitely a series 1 though

Thanks guys.

Turns out it is a 1995 GTS-T, so in other words a Series 1.

The problem I have is that the dash trim kit I just got from the US which is supposed to fit 94 - 97 models doesn't fit my S2, because it was designed to fit on the car in the picture.

Bugger!!

Dunno if it's just me, but i've noticed that series1 has that little coin-tray thing next to the mirror-fold buttons.... mine doesn't have that.

Oh! And my dash surround is a rough horrible black/grey.... I hate it. I can't clean it with anything without it shredding whatever i'm cleaning it with.

It looks like a series 1 dash surround to me too, distance shot so hard to be certain. as Jackie said if it is flat across the hazard and demister switch then it's a series 1, and it also has that smooth rubber coating as boj01 said, and the coin slot too. Series 1 Antenna height switch is inset in dash and series 2 is flush with dash.

I had one on my series 2 when I got it so yes they are interchangable, even the gearshifter surround is, which also has the different surface finish. The tray in front of the centre console box and ashtray's may be different in textures across models also?

Definately a series 1 airbag steering wheel, and no passenger airbag.

ahh ueah, the antenna switch, my series 2 has it but by looking at series 1 they have that cion slot, so guessing series 1 dask would look weird in a series 2 bcause of the size difference?, might be safter getting it sprayed my self
