Hi everyone,

Well the modificaitons are about to begin to my GTST4. I've prepared the shopping list and modification list... Here it is...

GTR 440 cc injectors

040 pump

Malpassi 1:1 fuel pressure reg (I've already got this from my other car)

top mount manifold

GT2871 turbo 0.86/0.7

600x300x76 front mount

Custom plenum with factory throttle body

Custom alloy plumbing

Splitfire coils

Wolf ECU V4 plus

My goal is 220-240kw atw.

Now the reason I wasn to run the wolf is that I know this ecu inside out, get a really good result with the tune and wire in the ecu with no problems at all.

So now the questions...

Has anyone here ever wired in an aftermarket ECU in parallel to the factory ECU before?

The reason I want to do this is that the factory ECU is responsible for controlling the HICAS, AWD and ABS. I want to keep these features.

So I figured if I install the wolf temp sensors, and parallel wire the trigger sensor and throttle position sensors, and then hijack the injector driver and ignition signals I'd have a workable solution.

I'd did discover the other day when checking my air cleaner the affect of leaving the MAF sensor unplugged from the stock ecu (rich and 2500 rev limit). Would this be ok to leave unplugged fromt he stock ecu if i'm using the WOLF ecu for fuel/igniton?

Is there anything else i've overlooked here?

Any other thoughts or suggestions for my project?

Cheers!

Ian

I have wired in a Wolf when I fitted the RB25DET. I lost AWD, amongst other things. Found out later that I should have used the GT-R plug'n'play version.

Alternatively, Wolf have a "black-box" add-on that willl feed TPS to the ATTESSA ECU.

But I still don't have A/C!

AC is easy to fix... I worked this out for a s13 i wired about a month ago. found the output wire for the climate control that triggers the aircon compressor, hooked that thru the wolf input, and then had the wolf output control a relay that fired the compressor.

The wolf can then turn off the compressor above 4500 rpm and 6lb boost. works a treat!

As for loosing AWD, well you could wire it to a switch probably and switch it on and off selectively.. but it wouldn't work as well as the ecu controlled option. Thus why i want to wire in the wolf in parallel.
