G'day, ive got an r32 gtr with the following mods, what should be my next upgrade, im guessing turbos as these fuel systems are good for around 400rwhp correct?

Apexi full adjustable computer

3.5" exhaust from turbos back

Blitz EBC

pods

thicker intercooler

exedy hi performance clutch (very heavy clamp load)

I'd be looking for around 400hp at the tyres without pushing it too hard.

The car made 226rwkw (308hp) @13psi with a mines computer and it was just before the bottom end let go, now has a fresh rebuild.

Also any approx pricing would help.

thankyou

Brad

injectors are good for around 400 engine horspower (with a fairly fat tune).

i would not think you can safely get to 400 rwhp without upgrading the injectors, and the fuel pump. considering you've already been through the rebuilding process i wouldn't want to risk it without them.

for me i reckon the limit on the stock 32 GTR stuff is around 260 or 270 rwkw.

i reckon next step power wise should be:

injectors and pump

cams

turbos (something like R34 N1s, or GTSS or 2530s)

do it all at once, retune and away you go.

by this do you mean the turbos will push 260rwkw?

I also forgot to mention, it has a nismo adjustable fuel reg

sorry i meant stock fuel system, and stock turbos being looked at together. but yeah, stock turbos are not good for much more than 260 or so in my experience. perhaps with cams etc you could get to 270 or 280. injectors will be marginal though at that level.

Cut to the chase :

TO4Z

Forged internals

Upgrade fuel sys

cause everyone has a lazy 10k sitting around.

Nugget, you will get 300rwkw with stock injectors.

Ferni is making 300rwkw with GT-SS and stock injectors.

But that is the limit of them.

I wouldnt reccomend bumping the rail pressure (with that fuel reg) to be honest.

GT-SS (my thoughts) are the way to go if its a street car, with a fuel pump and injectors you'll get into the 320-330rwkw mark,

Will get you into the 11's aswell i believe

Why type of rebuild ? (i cant rememer your post on CalaisTurbo about it all)

yes, i'm sure 300rwkw is possible on stock injectors and pump, but on a 10 year old + 32 GTR i wouldnt think it's a good idea. i would definately upgrade if you are doing turbos.

the advice is sound though about doing the SS and turbos etc, but i must say i'm blown away by the 240rwkw before 3000 rpm!!! that i would like to see. i've never seen any 2.6 litre RB26 come close to that power at 3000rpm, but i am intrigued as it would be awesome. and more details on this motor?

Ah, fuel pump for sure, wasnt disputing that at all, totally agree on it.

Its ferni's... most of the other GT-SS guys are making that aswell...

Or maybe it was 10psi on before 3000rpm, oh god... ive got myself into confusion again ;)

i'll edit the post, i cant damn well remember at the moment, dont wanna confuse anyone else

"unless" im mistaken, which is highly likely... either way... its solid respons regardless of how you look at it heheh

haha yeah, 10 psi at 3000 sounds more like it. 240rwkw at under 3000rpm would be mind blowing! i'd be shifting up at 4000 all day long ;) lol that would be a farking quick GTR.

it was just a standard rebuild

so your limited as to how far it can be pushed... thats ok, GT-SS fall into there quite easily (worked out im a fan of em yet? ;))

you might not need cams right off, i'd see how you go first

well i have about that now. stock turbos at 14psi, power FC, cam gears and a cat back exhaust (at the least) will get you there with a good tune of the PFC and the cam gears.
