I urgently need to know, does the size (length) of a straight through cannon muffler really matters in terms of the amount of noise it makes? Say which one is better and kinda short one like 40cm or a quite long in length? eg. setup is 2 1/2" cat back with two resonator and that end cannon.

Would a shorter muffler be any louder given it has the same diameter?

thanx

Id imagine the longer it is the more it muffles it, too an extent. I think the body (thickness) of the muffler also has a big impact. Hence why those tiny rear hotdogs you see on 4cyl fart boxes are extremely loud but the massive bodied mufflers you see on skylines etc arent as bad.
