had the same problem, would drive around for a bit then the car would just stall when pulling up to the lights and the idle was all over the place 500-1500rpm, really annoying!!!

thought it was the bov after reading what a few ppl said on the forum ... but i got the o2 sensor changed .... two weeks and the problem hasn't come back

sounds like a hunting problem... jesus that could be a few things, most prob an air leak

but if you dont no, take it to a mechanic BEFORE you do some damage

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Brisbane? I would appreciate any help I can get....

Mercury Motorsports is an SAU Qld sponsor and do a decent job from what I've heard. Or, as Nexus9 mentioned, there are a few members around who may be willing to help ya out in Brisbane. I'm in Brisbane but I'm no mechanic but someone like 3LIT3 32 (Daniel) is great.

One of the hoses off the manifold was split. I changed it and everything seemed ok, until last night when it started doing it again. I will try Mercury first. Cheers for that, being a chick I think all mechanics just see dollar signs when they see me coming!!

Yeh. I sometimes think I know more about whats going on with my car than him!

Hmm interesting to see an O2 sensor causing that problem, but entirely possible none the less. I've got a bit of detail on some of the causes of this problem on another thread for the DIY's out there.

Just my own contribution, may make it a bit more clear for some.
