New to the forums and need some information or help.

Have a bit of work done to my car (did it my self with my brother) & stumbled across the following part which i might be considering.

CUSTOM PULLEY $250

The new RB SERIES water pump pulley has been in the making for many many years. The pulley has been tested on cars like the RAJAB Racing Dragcar, Ben Viceconte's 160mph bullet, Albert Rajab's & Choppers 9s street rides + many more. Designed for high performance engines, it slows the water flow down through the engine by slowing down the RPM speed of the water pump which enables the radiator to cool more efficiently.

if it slows down the flow of water your temps will suffer around town..

sounds much like the N1 water pumps, which run slower to reduce cavitation at high rpm ..

i wouldnt use it on a street car .

well i called up today and they tell me its fine for the street & every day use but it comes to life when the engine is in hirpm.

im going to get one installed and will keep you guys posted.

This is to suit the VL.

My experience with the VL's is they require the water to be slowed in order for the car to not get too warm.

A good example of this is an aftermarket cheapo thermostat. They open really really wide. The genuine item opens only slightly. Aftermarket thermostat, car runs slightly cooler MOST of the time. Driving up a long hill at 60-80km/h or has the engine temp slowly but surely creep up over half when its warm ish weather.

Drop the genuine item in and the temp guage stops fluctuating.

It pretty much hardly moves and doesn't over heat up long hills.

The Skylines don't have this problem.

Buy a GTR N1 pump if you want something similiar, the pully is $250 wasted.
