Australia-japan Year Of Exchange 2006

Recommended Posts

This year is the 2006 Japan-Australia Year of Exchange http://www.yoe.australia.or.jp/english/ 30th anniversary.

It's probably not going to be in your face everywhere you go, but if you're into Japanese culture (or anything for that matter) try and support some of the festivities that might be organised for your area.

My wife works for J.A. (Japan/Australia) News here in Perth, and they've got heaps of events lined up right up until New Years eve already.

Nip-pon cha cha cha! Nip-pon cha cha cha!

well every week near my house they hold markets and i always buy some okonomiyaki (ebisu style), or some ebi takoyaki (i think that's it). i'm sure the japanese are all there buying shrimp off the barbie, so that's some kind of exchange! hehe
