Hi Guys,

My fugly early model tail lights are cracked up more than a Kings X hooker :D

So looking @ replacing them. Perfect opportunity to upgrade to late model ones as i think they are so much better looking!! ;)

I am wondering how much people have picked up a entire set for, including middle section!? Have seen 'Bigsully' SAU member selling a set for $350 and wondering if anyone has picked up from anywhere else for cheaper?!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! ;)

Cheers,

Ando

yeap i got a set of andrew (bigsully) ....good bloke to deal with. and s2 lights are awesome ....there are two types - the ones with the darker tint around the edge with the middle tinted. or the type which have no tinting. the reverse lights are slightly different between these two.

but if u want i have a cheap set of s1 lights in very good condition !.....no cracks at all.... :(

Lol cheers Resin!! Mate would prefer to get the s2 lights!

Yeah just been dealing with Andrew (Bigsully) and he seems a champ!

Just need my goddamn shares to sell and will be spending up big so my Cefiro can finally run like it supposed to! Oh and look a little better....

Bought it as a birthday pressie for my old man in Nov.

$150 for the pair and centre... got one of my mates to pick em up from a wrecker in NZ when he was over there and parcel post em over ($30 something).

$300-$350 can kiss my ass with their tongue out.

^^^^ Good for u Shan....... some of us don't have the luxury of having mates over in NZ to scout some out so u can lick ur own arse :) unless u feel like indulging on how others can get the tail lights for cheaper!

Well as it turns out my mate is back in Melbourne now, so I won't be able to get anyone a set... so you should get em off Andrew and support his business being a fellow ceffy owner and all :)

Thanks anyway Shan.....

Andrew...mate should have the money by end of this week so check ur PM's...oh and if u got a moment....could u possibly PM me with cost for the entire set + postage to Syd.

Also confirm which version these ones are....tinted outer edge or not?

Oh and bank details..... :)

Oh oh oh and....ahahah do they come with the required globes etc.....

Cheers dude!!!

zomg i have the tinted outer!

how cool am i like whoa

seriously, if you want cool tail lights, old ones just don't cut it i'm afraid... haha,

I got them too!

^5!

I have seen the full red ones on some cefs, and they suited them better. Guess it depends on paint colour and style of the car.

    • The cam I am actually putting in (a few posts up) is actually smaller than my current one. At least duration/overlap wise. All the chop stuff I hear just sounds like an engine running badly, because it is. I then envision driving it around in 1st gear and being massively sad about it bucking to the beat of said chop. There is an idle video of someone with a similar cam floating around the internet, but mine is a custom cam (so is his) so it'll never be the same, plus the fact exhausts are entirely different. What I want to do is put some bullet mufflers/race mufflers in to replace a couple sections straight pipes that currently replace the two extra cats that I don't need. But this is even further down the line!
    • I can tell you now, when the bracket that the little hydraulic ram attaches to snaps, with a subframe, and V8 from an AMG C63 on it, it sounds like someone letting shotgun off right beside you. It leaves your ears ringing, and a huge thankfulness that you never ever put a body part under something heavy that's only supported by a hydraulic lift...
    • Still not a guarantee fix. I used a high quality butyl-mastiq (the black goo that's not really silicone nor polyurethane, same stuff they use from the factory that just spreads out like melty cheese), and I still get lots of water on both sides of the trunk when raining or washing the car. I also suspect the factory spoiler rubber gasket might not be sealing well, so I'm thinking of adding a thin layer of grey silicone around the bolt holes on both sides and see if that's where it also leaks from. The biggest issue is that these cars don't come with a drain hole on each side like other coupes and hatchbacks.
    • I hate it, but maybe he could paint it Monster jam style and call it...godzilla?
    • Would seem to me to be appropriate to go GTR style bar. There are options with and without N1 vent holes, with the GTR lower lip integral (because FG copy). https://justjap.com/search?q=r32 bumper
