yup, i have

i went to a JB hi-fi car audio installation factory and got a tray from a mazda of some sort (new $20). Then I made my own brackets to screw the prick in, took about 20 mins all up. If have the time, go to a wrecker and get one out of any car, and then modify it yourself so that it fits.

Or you could do what I did, just make up something to slot in there. I had a GT badge off the side spare, so I got a bit of ply, a bit of 1/2 foam, some leather and made up a plate with the GT badge in the middle. Then Glued it onto the back of the casing thing. I'll try and get some pics up, looks pretty damn tidy if you ask me. Waiting to pull the skyline badge off the front of my car and put it on another one. Should look awesome.

Guest Boxhead

dont quote me, as i dont have the gauges, but i think there for hicas, boost(maybe...), and torque ...

i saw somewhere in here a link to understand the std boost gauges on skylines, it explains it and converts or somethin...

so they are actually useful, if you dont look at them all the time, i still sya keep em, coz like.. if anything starts feeling worng with you car, you can look and make sure it aint them...

I have an r33 GTR and i also have a double din head unit in it. The previous owner in Japan had relocated the climate control in the glove box, hence leaving the three gauge din and double din head unit. Looks great but is a bit of pain sometimes having to open your glovebox everytime you need air con....

No not from hockey player, just a nick name in high school (jagga) with 33 added, as per my email address ([email protected]) Was also thinking of personalised plates JAGR33 for my car at the time of subscribing to these forums.

Cheers

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
