Duncan
agreed, unfortunately it is almost certainly a blocked oil gallery. There are pressed in plugs at the end of each gallery that you can pull out to clean (then tap and put a grub screw in. Those galleries are tiny and easily blocked Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6611208 Share on other sites
r32-25t
They have already been removed and cleaned and I've checked for a blocked gallery none of which are blocked Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6611255 Share on other sites
SiR_RB
What p/steer/ac pumps are people using with rb30/26 in a Gtr? Can you use the original 26 pumps fitted on the 30 brackets or the other way around and get new lines made up? r32-25t
Use all the skyline pumps and brackets, need to slightly modify the power steer bracket but all the lines and wiring fit straight back on Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6650271 Share on other sites

SiR_RB
So use the rb30 brackets with 26 pumps...sweet !! Looking at getting the pistons soon so the block can go for machining, Is it worth the extra $30 per pin to upgrade to 9310 wrist pins? Or the standard ones in the set are more then enough? XKLABA
Ok, been through all 14 pages and no clear answer yet, what is the easiest/neatest way to do the intercooler hoses from twin turbo pipe to chassis and from chassis to plenum ? I am thinking just get a hard pipe kit but would like to hear what others have done, there was one member that had silicone hose and it went back on but the stock hoses won't, ideas - experiences ? r32-25t
It doesn't look neat but you can cut your hose in half and use a bit of aluminum tubing to extend it. I did that just to get the car running till I got new ones made up Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6691350 Share on other sites
Marko R1
I had silicone stock hoses and had 2 custom pipes made which had a lip on each end so that when I cut the hose in the middle where it was straight, I extended both pipes and simply used hose clamps. Cost was a $10 mod and it never came off on constant 23psi Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6691360 Share on other sites
r32-25t
That's a better way to describe what I did Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6691390 Share on other sites
Marko R1
Yeah we did the same thing. A lot of ppl seem to think its a short term fix...my car was running like that for a year and never had an issue. Piggaz
Why not get someone like Hypertune (or any half decent fabricator) to make you up a new pipe. Would look much better than joiners and clamps every 15 mm. r32-25t
Cause if you do it our way you can drive it to fabricator instead of paying for a tow truck Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6691537 Share on other sites
XKLABA
cheers for the replies guys but cutting the factory 34 pipes isn't really an option as i plan on put a 26 back in it at some point, I think I have come up with a solution though, turns out the 32 hoses are a bit longer then the 33/34 ones and they seem to line up perfectly, I've fitted the one from the chassis to the plenum already and it is a perfect fit just can't for the life of me find the spear one for the other side, will post a pic when I get it done Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/106224-rb30dettt-gtr-conversion-thread/page/14/#findComment-6692150 Share on other sites
