umm

i guess i'll give you an honest opinion

first pic:

sky is overexposed, if you used two shots (one to expose the sky, and one for the car, then blended them in photoshop, it would've worked out better)

2nd pic is good

3rd pic:

what dezz said, you have to turn the wheel the opposite way, noone wants to see your tyres

4th pic:

its tilted, but not tilted enough to be on purpose

also, photoshop out the car in the background

also, dont use such extreme angles, use whatever the horizon is, and also the lines of the car to match it up with other objects

you're not shooting for fast fours or some other ricer magazine, so no need for the gay angles

you say you want to buy a dslr, before you do that, learn how to use the camera properly, and how to expose/compose things correctly rather than wasting money on a camera that will just highlight the flaws in your photos

good effort archie, but I don't think dark has anything to be pissed about...

A few things about that photochop:

- The ground and everything else is moving the wrong way...

- You can tell you've blurred the wheels cause the discs and calipers are also blured.

- Reflections in the car aren't moving....

- Dark's wasn't chopped... :)

There are much better cameras that you can use to learn with, like a point and shoot that has full manual controls, rather than jumping straight into a dslr

It would be much better to learn how to use it first, rather than buy a dslr and wonder why all the photos come out looking like crap, or using it in auto mode the whole time

I say go for it, but the DSLR..

I spent nearly a year fussing over which non-slr camera to buy. I wanted the Sony F717, then a Canon G6, and then went onto thinking about the Pro1, but then did some reading a research, and looked at some photography forums, and found that the Canon 350D was the one for me.

When I bought it I had no idea what all the manual controls do, so I enrolled it a photography workshop. I am only 3 weeks into the course, and I am loving it.

Here is some of my work so far:

I'm still very much a beginner, but I am so glad that I have an SLR, because there is no limits to what I can do on my camera.
