Hey guys i got my r33 gts-t today, and it had a hks elec boost controller fitted, the thing is, the guy gave the car to me off tap (unlimited boost) and i ended up hiting 2.0BAR!!! in 2nd gear, fried the tyres something shocking, now its on 1.0bar which is still too high, its on stock boost setting and stuff but i wonder why its still hitting so much boost?

id appreciate it if my question could be answered properly, anyone with a smartass comment, please get out of my thread.

Thanks. phill

if the previous guy has been driving around like that expect some serious failures sooner rather than later.

Maybe try hooking up the standard solenoid agan and see what boost it runs??

sounds like either the boost controller is damanged/faulty/disconnected/failed or the turbocharger boost control system is damanged/faulty/disconnected/failed

check there is a pressure line running to the turbocharger actuator

check the boost controller

try resetting the boost controller

failing all that have a workshop check it out as if you keep driving it you will cause damage if you havent already. your seals are probably shagged or very unhappy now, check the intake pipes for oil

well its running factory boost solenoid now, i know it holds boost because its a t4 actuator on a t28, so its like its been set at 1.0bar? its ment to be hitting 8psi. I cant hear the turbo choking or anything yet. I just dont want to have anything fail on me, as i dont have any money!. Ive checked all lines, all are ok, i wasnt too sure how they sit, but ive put the 2 lines that go into the std controller solenoid in properly, and one goes into the cooler piping? or something like that. Ill take some fotos of how they are now, and you could correct me on what is right/wrong?

Thanks
