My current mod is 3" HKS exhaust, Blitz downpipe, Trust oil cooler, std intercooler, std ECU. Intend to upgrade to HKS Type S intercooler + Boost Controller soon.

What would you think is next best upgrade, ECU or Turbo first? I am not looking for high HP but more streetable power when the need arises. From what i know is the std ECU won't boost more that 0.8bar.

If it was ECU, should i go for F-Con Vpro or Power FC? Pls factor in cost also.

If turbo, should it be HKS GT-RS or HKS 2835? What are the characteristic for both turbo compared? intend to boost 1.0bar for daily driving. Need advice...thx in advance :)

What you guys think of the FCon V Pro? I know some prople who can bring the Japs and tune but quite costly. But it has one function that once the A/F is fixed to a certain amount, whatever boost you run the fuel will be optimized for it.

I like Power FC but is it easy to learn to tune by myself on the road or dyno? :)

1. In order for the FCon V Pro to "self tune" it would need a wide and fast lambda sensor and extensive interpretation hardware and software. I have not seen any evidence of that.

2. If you have a stand alone A/F metre there is no reason why you couldn't tune any (tunable) ECU on the road

:) cheers :D

IMO, and sure this will be flamed by many other forum members, I just don't agree with buyign a powerfc, paying 500 for a tune, and then having to tune it again after you get your turbo.

I am still saving at the moment to collect all the parts I need and then i'm going to do them all in one hit.

    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
    • I don't even go that hard core. I just say "how do you expect me to stay, when you increase my premium, and reduce the value of the car?"   Then play a game of shut the f**k up. Most of the time it's a computer that did the adjustment, and the people will happily change it around for you.
