it's not a boost cut.

it is a AFM max out cut.

with the stock turbo you can probably get to like 15 16 psi and no cut.

the new turbo may max out the AFM with less boost.

leave it at like 10 psi for the drive to the dyno.

then once on there, they can increase the boost while monitoring A:F mixtures and AFM voltage.

I was running 16psi with stock ecu, rb25 turbo, and AFM.. and SAFC.. with no boost cut evident at all.

You should be right, but like GTST is saying, it can vary per setup. There is no fixed level where it may be a problem.
