Update: R32 bushes

Sorry guys, ive been in contact with Noltec for about a week regarding their stock of r32 bushes. I rang over a week ago asking if they had any in stock, and they only had 2 sets. They told me the next run would be last friday - which didnt come in.

I rang again today (interstate calls for me yay!) and the guy tells me that Noltec themselves ran out of crush tubes, so the place that makes the bush couldnt make any....

The guy there is trying to track me down at least 5 sets for you first 5 guys, and hopefully ringing me back today with good news.

Im pushing them to make more dont worry...

sorry guys, its been out of my hands but hopefully we should see some soon. Thought i better let you guys what the deal was.

Thanks for the update mate. I haven't started my suspension make-over yet but will most probably be cracking into it at the end of this month, do you think its possible we'll recieve the bushes by then Darren? I'm in the 2nd buy.

Just spoke to Noltec then.

Next shipment will not be in until a week and a half from now. This means i cant order anything until they have more stock in im afraid. :)

Its out of my hands, sorry guys. This happened with the r33 gb (same bushes). Las time they told me same thing, and 5 days later they had them...

Just got a list here of the people waiting for these damn bushes...

If u have paid, and cant see your name on the list, please let me know asap, and i'll add you. Im ordering all bushes at once now, (due to the delay of supplies) so everyone should have them around the same time

List:

Beer Baron

JSWR32

Ronin 09

lwells

Mr Keets

OnGsTa

thanks guys for being patient. I have spoke to Noltec, and stock will be in THIS FRIDAY >_<:D

I have spoken to Noltec, and i will be doing rear camber kits, caster kits (std or adjustable), and front camber kits.

I'll need 5 or more kits to get big discounts again, but as for anything else off their catalogue, ask me and i can get 20% off their RRP.

thanks for the upate mate. sterling work :)

personally i think you should break some balls a little over there as they are taking their sweet time. my subframe has been out and back in already now but i'd still like to get them asap. any word on why it's been so long between payment/order and delivery?

but again, top effort mate ;)

Noltec seem to run out of stock before they decide to even have new ones made to restock themselves. I asked why it was taking so long at one point, and they commented they ran out of srush tubes, so they couldnt even supply their suppliers with the parts needed to make these :)

how far away do u think those other group buys are gonna take?

ud think with all the business ur drumming up for them theyd giddy up abit.

yer well that must come down to the fact im a new supplier, and they are just starting to realise i can move a bit of stuff...im almost on a first name basis now with the guys there, so its basically building a business rep if u like. They prolly trust me now if i say i want 10 kits, they will trry to pull a finger...

Future orders should happen faster is the main thing.

I really wanna finish this one before i go ahead and do another one. Its too time consuming for me, especially when i dont make a profit on any of this.

    • Out here E90s are the cheapest way into a sporty-ish car because everyone knows just how expensive the repairs can get. 8-10k USD for an automatic 335i.
    • Noted. Have noticed BMW are more 'high maintenance' for sure. They've attracted my attention as I think the used car prices seem reasonable vs other options, and the extra quality overall vs a commodore / camry / corolla or similar of the same vintage is appealing, especially the interior, and they are more on the sporty side whereas the others mentioned can be more cruising or economical A-to-B only.
    • Haha yeah I know, this is SAU after all, why are we talking about BMW's of all things!? I hear you on the 'don't have to worry about it' side of things. Having been fortunate enough to be have been able to buy a brand new motorbike or two...never really enjoyed them as much as I'd have liked as you worry so much about where you park it, will it get scratched, stolen, attempted theft, knocked over, etc...and yes dirty. Older less valuable bikes you can just go where you want and park it wherever and not really worry that much in comparison. And who cares if it gets dirty! Never owned a V8, and have had my eyes on VE / VF commodores for years but with their prices climbing so high, the M3 has come into focus more as prices are much closer than I've ever seen...is it a potential contender now?...of course need to factor in the S65 'maintenance' especially and like you said general M car 'tax'. One can dream anyway. But more on the reality front - did read the whole 330i thread as well and was a great read too, both threads enlightening as I've never even driven one of these cars! I do recall 330i didn't seem to have the same amount of issues for almost the same car (turbos and related differences notwithstanding)...perhaps down to getting it earlier in it's life so looked after better than the 335i? Perhaps so as your 130i has been good and quite similar, so finding a car that's been looked after well is the especially-crucial-BMW-first-step.
    • Nice. Dont worry about the time of not running. My current skyline hasn't run since I bought it. About 8 years ago.
    • It's also worth noting that I am heavily and unconditionally biased. I've had a lot of cars including some GTRs a fair while ago. I love my BMW's now a lot. They make no sense a lot of the time and the guys on here remind me regularly that I could get something else that does what I want better and cheaper. If you're going to take on an older BMW it's definitely a commitment. If you bail on it early you'll lose money and also the ability for it to put a smile on your face. Stick with it and it just gets better.  f**k I should get into advertising.
