If there is enough interest we should be able to fit in a drift session.

I think from memory I got 5 track days and about 10,000 k's out of my compliance tyres (read cheap and nasty) so yes there will be some major wear but as long as they are not almost gone already you will still get many more k's out of them.

Please ignor my ilitericy (ha ha), I re-read the post to see SAU & RENEWS, not UAS & RENEWS. I will book in once the minister of entertainment and finance passes my application.

What about spectators can they just turn up, is there a entry fee???? or is it a closed event as we are new and moving to sydney and I would like to check out ORAN PARK as we have only seen it on tv and some of the drivers :)

I live about 5 mins away from Oran, I'll be there for sure. I've been going out there at every opportunity since I heard the track is due to be closed.

If you need a flag marshall, i'm more than happy to give it a go - i'll need some pointers as to what needs to be done.

Cheers,

Matt

No entry fee for spectators and you could even volunteer to be a flaggie like Matt.

Matt we would very much like you to be a flaggie as we need a few.

Thanks for volunteering, I am booking you in for it.

Abo Bob,

Yesterday at the Aaron McGill Drive day my wife did not get a chance to drive my car and said she would like to get out and have a go. Whats the best way to go about this. I understand she will need her L2S, but she would like to have me in the car when she goes round the track, will this be a possibility on the day. Whats the cost for 2 drivers and 1 car? The wife does not like Oran Park that much so she is probably only going to do 1 or 2 sessions.

Let me know in a post or call me to discuss.

Thanks

Let me In....

I was out on Sunday at OC GP in the new 15 year old datsun & want my final go in the 72 (REAL!!!) skyline, more fun beter noise.

She is going up for sale for real this time, I can't/won't fit a baby seat in it and the boss said I'm only allowed some cars....

She is going up for sale for real this time

hahaha. that's a good one. havent laughed this hard in a while.

ps. I am also interested to know what the situation is with one car, two drivers?

Well make sure you pay up on pay day so you don't run out of money.

This will be a worthwhile day for you to get a good feel for your car.

There will be plenty of people around to instruct on the day.

About time fatzzzzzz. Let's see how that thing grips!

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
