Hi guys,

I am just curios to see who has the most modified non-turbo straight 6 skyline on the forum. Also interested in what kind of power it's putting out at the wheels. and i guess any circuit times or drag times would be interesting too.

Thanks :P

I am building (and have been for quite some time...) a stroker RB.

compression 13:1

3.4litre capacity

gtr throttle bodies

custom titanium oversize valves

Am looking at putting out around 350 - 400 HP

does that count?

:O:(:O:D:O:):O

yeah stroker

looks way cool

boring and stroking or just stroking

big money for that if u need custom crank

i would imagine you would be starting with a rb26dett engine and stroking it with a rb30 crank and boring it with custom pistons??

yeah baby! that's what i'm talking about.

to the guy who posted above, i knew about NA33s V8 build up, which was awesome, but i'm interested in some lines with performance NA RBs in them.

this one looks to be the goods. man it will sound awesome too with the 6 throttle inlet. mmm

I HAVE AN RB30DE . Has a stock rb25de head ( stock cams valves and not ported ) , rb25det 370 cc injectors , extractors , 10.5 -1 compression , twin rb25de throttle bodies , Apexi safc 2 . Its in a 1986 aussie built station wagon with manual gearbox . Never been on a dyno , but best 1/4 mile time is 14.4 @ 94 mph .

the fella with the v8 r33. What v8 motor does he have in the car? holden, ford? or a lexus motor etc?

Very interesting. If i blow up 1 more rb25det, i might consider that

its a vh45des: nissan's 4.5 litre v8 dual ovc and he supercharged it

you have to chuck it on the dyno don

ur r31 has to be one of the meanest non turbo r31's with 'original' engine in aus

(i no that the r31 skyline club has a pretty mean list, but a lot of them are engine swaps, but ur is unique which makes it cool http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?topic=133.0 - fastest r31 1/4 mile times - notice don is second in na r31's)

I have offset ground the standard rb30 crank.

The rod journals are quite small now (as you can imagine with that stroke increase!) but the radi in the corner has been trippled, so the strength will be fine.

Standard rb30 block (.040" oversize), forged rods and pistons.

I am using an rb20 head (for the small combustion chamber) radicaly modified inlet ports and simmilar sized valves as the gtr.

    • That's true. However, this problem has started since the tuning. First time with the return journey from the tuning. But yes, the pipe was clogged with dirt and rust. That was certainly due to age
    • Great info @tidi0x  Will definitely be handy for others and maybe me if I decide to keep the shit box H pattern.
    • Bumping this up one last time.... I wanted to follow up on the clutch slave issue. I realized that what the issue comes down to is the pocket is flat milled, and the cylinder does not want rest flat. So in order to mount it correctly you will need to make a spacer for the fingers so the cylinder is floating. I took two plates of aluminum, drilled some holes and was good. I did still need to make the relief cuts in the bell housing, as even with the spacer the bleed section still interferes. The OE bell housing the mounting holes are raised from the housing.
    • If the event in USA goes ahead will be interesting as it seems the rules will get more cars over here. Apparently the track is laguna seca too. Yeah s15, if I get a the lower dash trims, centre console and change front cross member to standard LCA position will fit clubsprint. See how rules are as i would rather do complete widebody than a bolt on flare to run the 295 with proper clearance.
    • If the car is legal height I can't see it being an issue. Found a thread on reddit that might offer some insight.   I got a ticket from a copper in QLD for my S15 being too low. They had this wheel thing on a stick that they put under the car and it hit my exhaust. Anyhow went to an exhaust shop to get the exhaust tucked up/hung a little higher and I wound the coilovers up a smidge. Don't think I even had to go back to the police station unlike when I got defected for having a carbon bonnet when I brought the S15 from the ACT to QLD and had to replace it and then rock up at a police station and have a yougish female officer who knew nothing about cars confirm that I had changed bonnets. Should have just painted the carbon bonnet yellow to match the rest of the car lol
