HEY GUYS FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS IN MY 96 SYLINE THE ABS LIGHT ON DASH WAS ON WHOLE TIME AND I FIND MY BRAKES AREN'T THAT GOOD TOO.I CHECKED THE BRAKE OIL AND ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS EVERY THINGS IN GOOD ORDER.

JUST WONDERING WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE AND WENT TO BRAKES PLUS THEY HAVE NO IDEA.

ANY SUGGESIONS OR ANYONE KNOW WHERE SHOULD I GO TO FIX IT?

your braking performance should only be affected if you are doing hard braking, ie under normal conditions if ABS was working it would activate, as its only active when it detects brake lockup and it doesnt actually help normal braking under normal conditions. your best refernce would be to goto a nissan dealer to get it sorted

I've got the same problem.. not sure what it is.. getting it checked out next week and will post the resolution.. It's probably just a busted sensor or something.

I find that is's better to have less electronics as possible on a car to minimise failure rates. If Nissan were to build a new skyline or silvia NOW with no ABS, no SRS, no HICAS, no tiptronics, no electronic handling gizmos, I'll be happy to buy one as soon as it was released. lol :(

Just base electronics would be fine like ECU.
