Hey guys, after many months of deciding I have come to a conclusion to get R33 GTS-T II.

I want a reliable car so I want it with rather low Ks, anywhere between 50,000 and 100,000 is fine with me.

Ive never bought a car myself and need some advice.

The car will most be used for weekend/night driving and I want it in auto as I want to cruise not go drifting.

Any advice you can give me on buying skylines? I know to do RACV check as well as compression check (do RACV also do compression check, where is it done? how much?) but need to know other details... im bit of a newbie to owning cars so need info!

Plz point me in the right direction if this has been covered shit loads before :D

EDIT: Also Im from Melbourne but in Sydney they got aussiecarcompliance... are they any good? They had some nice looking GTS-Ts go for around 15 grand with 50 k on the clock...

hi there

if you want a skyline, get a manual..

not only would the drive be better, it would be a lot easier to sell than an auto.

RACV? They dont know jack shit. Their inspection is way too general and it depends on ur luck-if you get a good inspector who's really been in the trade for long(and not just any rookie),u're likely ok.

Get the car to a mechanic you know and have him hoist it up and do all the compression checks and perhaps even use a paint tester.

hope it helps. good luck :D

Check out this if you're buying a skyline..

Also.. it wouldn't hurt to take a friend to look or someone who knows a bit about them to help you look..
