Eng Rpm Hunts At Idle

Has anyone had the problem of the eng hunting at idle (rpm drops to nearly stalling then jumps back up)?

Causes??

go to a mechanic and get them to put the scanner on it when it does it. easiest way to find out what it is. my car does the same thing sometimes, everyone ive asked said it could be alot of things, afm, oxygen sensor, etc for example. they all said to put the scanner on it when its hunting and that'll be the best way to find out what it is, but now my car wont do it. so yeh, good luck

Could be as simple as the AAC valve or air regulator. I suggest you look into these simple things first before spending money on a mechanic to diagnose it.

i had this problem very annoying,

this is what i found:

wasnt the AFM

wasnt the AAC valve

Wasnt a cloged throttle butterfly

was a ttp sensor on the front of the butterfly?

I changed that and hey presto

hey i think i got the same problem, but could have an air leak somewhere because not only it does this but the rpm jumps high around 55-60 kmh, where and how can i see if my AAC valve or air regulator is ToF??

If the motor changes speed while driving then I'm pretty sure it won't have anything to do with the AAC valve or air regulator.
