That was an awesome weekend!!! Will definitely be driving in as many of these as I can :) Had a great time all weekend. Need to work on my understeer though... watch out Mav :D

Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers, you all did a great job ;)

Wouldn't have minded a few more runs on the back track though to see if I could get my times down.

Oh Greg, when you use add reply which gives you the full reply window, you add pictures by browing with this button

..and be sure to press Add this attatchment everytime, and before you hit post

Yep, did that, but I then tried a "preview post", and it seemed to sit there for ages with the status bar saying "waiting (or maybe contacting) for sau.com". So I ended up hitting my "Back" button - never hit the "add reply" tag though.

The award for the strongest drinking team during dinner would have to go to Snowy and James for having two 1.4 litre mageritas EACH. Thats a total of 2.8 litres of alcoholic drinks each before we even hit the nightclubs!

LOL..pissheads. Thay all said they were keeping it low key, so combined with my no sleep from Fri night, sunburn etc , i went home. Im not sure whether that was a bad move or a good move.

So two PVs each ay? You can no longer officially give me sh1t for being the SAU drunkard for drunking two , i will gladly pass the badge on ;)

That said, bring on GP weekend, Melb Taco Bills PVs are weak comapred to Taco Bills, with two barely touching the side, perhaps 3 PVs are more in line with the festivities that will be GP Weekend :)

Thanks to Jack for a trip in the ZED, i am completley changing my thinking about RB20s, your thing is an absolute animal, they way it gets off the line and pulls, its my new role model for how i want my car to go :D

And with all the tanks going to the volunteers, i have to say thanks to the participants..you were tops putting on a great show for us. Namely:

Nick and Paul for smoking it proper in a public place :)

Snowie for R&Ding the strength of the R34 RB26 with 9,000rpm blips back to 1st gear ;)

...and yeh ok Ferni, i suppose those RB26 thingies go ok ;)

...and for those that were part of the conspiracy of hitting witches hats just so others could laugh at me running :D

Well a Big thanx again to all the organised yesterday it was a fantastic day i had heaps of fun.. Thanx to the Volinteers as well...

Took me a while well almost all day to work out where i was going on the skid pan but after Andrew told me off enough i got the hang of it kindof... :)

I would have to say that this is my Fav shot of my car in a long time...

hey everyone,

thanks to all the organisers for their hard work and efforts. great day was had by all and the weather made it even more fun. looking forward to the pics, video footage and timesheets. hope everyone had a good time and was great to go out with the sau crew and crank up shepparton yet again. those clubs really go hard. i think i can still hear that 180sx

Top day as per usual! I wasn't really interested in the day when I woke up and still wasn't once I'd arrived at shep. Getting on the skidpan sorted that tho ;)

I don't think I'll ever learn how to steer the boat, but I will say its god damn unpossible in the water, was like driving on ice ;)

No doubt there will be some highly amusing videos and photos from the day :)

Thanks to the club for running these and all the officials, especially the ones crazy enough to stand on the skidpan so close to some of us maniacs :D

Um yellow zed jack would be an L28, not RB20 hehe

Yeh i know, isnt it an L28. I mentioned RB20 because i was always happy enough with it as it seemed to have reasonable top end. On paper my thing makes more power (I seriously doubt it does though) and his thing destroys it. So RB20s do suck when 20 years on the L28 will destroy it as it has so much grunt everywhere. Cant believe i just said that :)

LOL..how can i forget the taxi ride...friggin gold. ;) Almost as fun as the Ford on the dirt ot PI :D

LOL yeh L28 even, stupid brain! The car's also a bit lighter being around 1000kg which is always gonna help!

The taxi really didn't like all you fat kents in the car, i think it was the only time I didn't 360 or 720! Must have been all that extra downforce haha. Ford...Dirt...PI...i dunno wtf you're talkin about :)

Hey i weighed myself the other night, i lost 7-8kgs in Singas ;)

As for PI, dont worry, it was just the funny trip back to Snowies cabin, which happned to be down a dirt track. You probably dont remeber, but i remember beign blown away by how well you controlled the big Ford :lol:

What a great weekend!!

Big thanks to organisers and volunteers, without their hard work the event wouldn't have gone so smoothly.

I had a blast and finally figured out my gearing around the pan, due to the laggier turbo. Hopefully my times will reflect my improvement :).

To all those with pics, footage, etc, don't be shy POST THEM UP!!! :lol:

yes, great day had by all, well done everyone and thank you everyone, as everyone has already said.

was a good trip home, until getting to my car and having to change the type (thanks paul!) and then getting home to a speeding fine that arrived in the mail on friday!

looking forward to seeing all the photos and times, but these things take time and all good things come to those who wait!

With the Sk80 constantly popping off the intercooler piping due to backpressure and a lack of BOV... and the Kakimoto R33 wearing down the clutch due to excess stress caused by 13" wide wheels on the back trying to grip while doing second gear drifts... the j-spec team retired early for the day (w00t 80km/h drive back to melbourne... going uphill at maybe 50km/hr... 110 only on downhills).

I only managed to get a grand total of 6 pics for the day, but I got some good incar video, and also footage of the skidpan runs straight after lunch.

Also... does anyone in the Glen Waverley area have a firewire cable I can borrow tonight so I can get the video off the camera?

Well from all accounts it seems that you all had a great time!

Congrats once again to the organisers who put in all the effort to make events like this happen.

Unfortuantely I couldn't make it as I was at Two Tribes last night until 7 this morning, the Publicity "recovery" party until 2pm and now I'm home bumming out until sleep time. I'M SPENT!!!

      All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.

Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant.
